Up before dawn this morning, I packed Dane's lunch, made breakfast for the family, brewed coffee, showered, dressed, got the kids up and dressed, and the whole gang out the door by 6:30 a.m. so we could make it to school by 7:15 ... and guess what? Pre-school doesn't start until Thursday!
Doh! Wish someone would've told
me that.
Nice dress rehearsal at any rate. Dane looked very handsome in his school uniform. And we did sign up for a parent/teacher conference with Dane's new teacher, held later that morning. She is very nice, and if only we could be assured that the twins will have a place in first grade, we would be looking forward to a very successful school year.
