Ode to Asha.
This week, the second graders at the American school held a "Poetry Cafe" in the school theater and recited their original works of poetry in front of a receptive crowd of parents and teachers. We snapped our fingers, beatnik-style, to express our appreciation.
Inspired by these sudents' creative work, including such greats as "My Xbox" and "Chocolate Eggs", I would like to dedicate a poem to my friend and fellow (former) blogger, Asha, thus fulfilling day five of my blog-every-day-in-May challenge.
Come back to us, Asha. You make me better.

Ode to Asha (in haiku)
Words unfurled, observe
with self-deprecating wit
truth about her, life.
Come back to us, Asha. You make me better.
